Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at the presidential palace in Ankara on Thursday.
According to unnamed presidential sources, who wished to stay anonymous because they were not authorized to speak with the media, Erdogan and Stoltenberg discussed Turkey-NATO ties as well as regional security issues.
Erdogan and Stoltenberg also exchanged views on the NATO Warsaw Summit.
Security threats resulting from latest developments in the region, especially the Syria crisis and counter-terrorism topped the agenda, the sources added.
