International Turkish Ukrainian Businessmen Association opens new branch in western Ukrainian city Lviv
Turkey’s ambassador to Kiev called on Turkish businessmen to invest in western Ukraine Tuesday.
In remarks made at the opening of the International Turkish Ukrainian Businessmen Association’s new branch in the Ukrainian city Lviv, Turkish Ambassador Yonet Can Tezel said Turkish businesses could play a dynamic role in further developing relations between Ukraine and Turkey.
He praised Turkish businesses that were already investing in the country.
"Work and investment potential in Ukraine's west would go up in recent period," he said.
The Turkish association has four other offices in Ukraine, including in Kiev, Odessa, Kherson and Kharkiv to boost Turkey’s investment in the country.
Last week, Turkish defense minister visited Ukraine as part of a trade and economic cooperation meeting to improve bilateral investment ties.
