Aliyev and Cavusoglu discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on a meeting between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Pakistan to be held later on Thursday.
Cavusoglu, his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov and Pakistan's Khawaja Muhammad Asif will for the first time hold a trilateral meeting to discuss developing relations, as well as regional and international issues. It will be followed by a news conference.
Aliyev said a new cooperation mechanism will be established after this meeting.
