Helicopters search for missing Turkish boys

Helicopters and more than 200 police, soldiers and residents joined the search for two missing boys in northern Turkey on Tuesday.

Bayram Erol, eight, and five-year-old Dursun Kaan Tasci went missing from their homes in Resadiye, Tokat province, on Dec. 29. The last record of them is security camera footage of the pair walking through a playground near their homes.

Divers are continuing to search the nearby Kelkit river where relatives said the pair often fished while other teams searched a local reservoir and woods.

One of the boys' uncles, Huseyin Tasci, said the family alerted the authorities after the children did not return home at midday on Dec. 29.
