Etliekmek sales decreased

Sales of meat bread, which is one of the most popular dishes of Konya, decreased during the coronavirus period. Commenting on the issue, Chairman Vedat Honça said, “Etliekmek sales decreased by 70 percent. Citizens cannot come and receive them, and they do not look very favorably on the delivery service, ”he said.

Etliekmek sales decreased

The restrictions imposed within the scope of the measures taken during the pandemic period negatively affected the sales of etliekmek. Saying that meat bread is a product that should be eaten hot, Vedan Honça, President of Konya Chamber of Bakers, said, “Since we do not have package services in our bakeries, our sales have dropped significantly. There are around 1,200,500 bakeries and restaurants in Konya that make meat bread. In the past, we used to produce and sell 120 thousand meatballs per day and now we cannot sell half of this amount with the introduction of the package service system ”

‘THE PREFERENCE OF THE KONIANS WILL BE BEING AGAIN’

Cemo Etliekmek Business Owner Gökhan Karamercan said, "People of Konya think about what we will eat until noon and eat meat at noon," said Cemo Etliekmek Business Owner Gökhan Karamercan. People cannot come to our business and eat. In this process, more confident people prefer to buy from places they trust. We do 20 percent of what we normally do in package service. When talking about Konya, the main dish that comes to mind is meatballs. In the evening, there are those who take it home as a meal. The guests are told to eat meat to be fast and practical. In order to have a good meat, all the materials used must be of good quality. The consistency of the dough is also very important. Meat is very important, mixing ratio of vegetables is very important. This is a team thing. Without one of them, you cannot buy good meat ”.

‘ETLİEKMEK REQUESTS EFFORT’

Gökhan Karamercan, who stated that it is very difficult to make a meat bread, said, “Four people work to make a meat bread. Someone makes dough, someone cooks, someone cuts, someone serves it. You should make the meat bread so good and good that there should be no room for error in the production of meat, no matter how much error there is in the production. People look for meat bread to be on time and hot. In this respect, equipment is also very important. Professionalism of the friends is important. We take it to the service by car to deliver it warmerly. In this process, we provide a maximum of 30 minutes etliekmek service even to the farthest point. There may also be a raise in meatballs because everything comes. The flour we bought for 100 lira last year is now 180 lira. I hope we will get through these difficult days as soon as possible ”.

‘ETLİEKMEK SALES HAVE DECREASED’

Noting that there was a decrease in etliekmek sales during the pandemic period, Şelale Etliekmek Business Owner Mustafa Şenel said, “Our delivery service has increased a little compared to the past. For example, 30-40 percent of takeaway used to work, now it has increased to 50-60 percent, but there is a decrease in the end, however much. The restrictions affected us badly as they did for everyone else. This situation inevitably reflected on our business. A good roast beef, from its meat to its vegetables, and all these must be of high quality. Using fresh yeast rather than powdered yeast in the Etliekmek dough makes the dough like a biscuit, so it would be very nice and it would be much better to serve it immediately after cooking. Some of the citizens are not satisfied with the meat and bread prices. Of course, prices differ, since they are not the same anywhere. For example, while our association price is 22 lira, we give it 18 lira in competition. There are businesses that sell for 12 lira, 8 lira or 10 lira. We are very troubled about this. While we use first class products, they use poor quality products. This is a danger to people's health, ”he said.

ATTENTION WHILE ETLİEKEK IS PLACE!

Describing the way to understand the trick in meat meat, Mustafa Şenel said, “There are people who take concept oils in meatballs, turn them into minced meat and make it that way. We give the lahmacun for 8 lira. While trying to increase the price due to the price hikes on the products, there are still places that sell lahmacun for 3-4 lira. For example, when you go somewhere and eat meat bread, especially when you drink an acidic drink with it, know that it freezes on your upper palate, that fat is a bad fat. We don't use that kind of oil, we throw it away, but people use that kind of oil. "They use kidney oil and give it to you as meatballs," he underlined.

‘EVERYONE SHOULD CONSENT THE PRICES’

Emphasizing that everyone should abide by the prices, Şenel said, “Everything is getting a price. We're leaving in the morning. What is a plow of 2 liras becomes 2 and a half liras after a few hours. Naturally, this situation affects us badly. "If everyone had put meat bread on a regular site, if it complied with the prices of the Chamber of Restaurants and the Chamber of Bakers, the people working with us today will get a different salary, and the people who eat will eat without hesitation."
