26 terrorists killed in Tuesday operations: Turkish Army
6 PKK terrorists captured in ongoing operations in Ceylanpinar district of Sanliurfa province
A total of 26 terrorists were killed Tuesday during ongoing operations in Turkey's southeast, according to Turkish Armed Forces figures.
Nine terrorists were "neutralized" in the Mardin province’s Nusaybin district, bringing the total number of terrorists killed since the beginning of operations to 54.
Also in Sirnak province, 9 terrorists were killed, bringing the total of terrorists killed in this province to 50.
Eight terrorists were killed in Hakkari province’s Yüksekova district, making it 65 terrorists killed since the beginning of operations.
6 PKK terrorists captured
Six foreign national PKK/PYD terrorists were also captured Wednesday during security checks by security forces in Sanliurfa province’s Ceylanpinar district, the Turkish army said.
More than 300 members of the security forces have been martyred since the PKK, which is also listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S., and the EU, resumed its 30-year armed campaign last July.
Thousands of PKK terrorists have also been killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
15 Daesh terrorists captured
A total of 15 foreign national Daesh-linked terrorists, including a potential suicide bomber, were captured Wednesday along the Syrian frontier, the Turkish army said.
Two Daesh terrorists were injured when they were arrested near the Oguzeli district of Gaziantep province, the army added.
