Virtual fair promoting Turkish universities to global students to kick off Tuesday

A virtual fair meant to introduce Turkish universities to international students is set to kick off on Tuesday.

The three-day fair will enable Turkish universities to promote themselves to prospective university students across the world through visual and audio materials, live streaming, and instant messaging, said a statement by Turkey’s Council of Higher Education (YOK).

The fair will also provide prospective students and their families with useful information about Turkish history and culture, said the statement.

The Study in Turkey Virtual Fair, which got great attention worldwide when it was first held last year, is expected to again draw great interest internationally this year, said the council.

Apart from universities, stakeholder agencies that contribute to the internationalization of the Turkish higher education system such as the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, Turkish Maarif Foundation, Yunus Emre Institute, and Turkish National Agency will also have stands at the fair.
