Turkish economy's total turnover jumps 129% in April
Official data shows strong annual growth in key sectors of industry, construction, trade, services

The Turkish economy’s total turnover soared 128.8% on an annual basis in April, the country’s statistical authority reported on Monday.
This was driven by significant growth in the industry, construction, trade and services sectors, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The largest annual hike of 145.7% was recorded in the services sector, followed by trade at 128.9%.
Turnover in the industry and construction sectors surged by 125.2% and 108.9%, respectively.
The total turnover index also increased by 6% on a monthly basis.
"Industry increased by 4.1%, construction increased by 8.2%, trade increased by 7.1% and services increased by 6.5% on monthly basis in April 2022."
