Turkey imposes ban on US television series

Turkey’s top broadcasting authority has imposed a temporary broadcast ban on the U.S. television series, Modern Family, which airs on Qatari TV network beIN Series.

In a meeting on Tuesday, the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTUK) decided to prohibit the channel from airing the two programs and imposed administrative fines, according to information obtained by an Anadolu Agency reporter.

The channel was found guilty by the RTUK of using profane language and allowing coverage of a child born out of wedlock in the mega serial.

The TV series Modern Family is the U.S. family TV sitcom depicting three different families.
