Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok on Monday escaped without injury after his convoy came under attack, according to security sources.
A roadside bomb exploded as his convoy passed the Kober bridge, which connects the north of capital Khartoum to the city center, eye witnesses said.
No casualties were reported, but some vehicles of the convoy were damaged.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Hamdok said he is in good health.
"This revolution is protected by its peaceful approach […] for a better tomorrow and sustainable peace," Hamdok said, referring to the uprising that led to the ouster of former President Omar al-Bashir.
"What happened will not stop the movement for change," he said, in reference to the attack on his life.
