Security forces nab terrorist in SE Turkey

Turkish security forces nabbed a terrorist in the southeastern province of Mardin, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.

A Kalashnikov gun, two hand grenades and other ammunitions were seized from him, according to the statement.

The ministry did not mention the affiliation of the terrorist but security forces frequently carry out operations against the PKK in the country's east.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
