Roadside bomb kills one, injures five in Iraq’s Saladin

An employee of Iraq’s Baiji oil refinery was killed when a company bus struck a roadside bomb in Iraq’s northern Saladin province, a local police source said Friday.

“A bus carrying employees to the refinery struck the explosive device near the city of Baiji, leaving one passenger dead and five others injured,” Police Lieutenant Numan al-Jubouri told Anadolu Agency.

Some of those injured are currently in critical condition, he added.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing, while the Iraqi authorities have yet to officially confirm the incident.
