Founders; Nathan Bedford Forrest, known as the Great Wizard, includes Captain John C. Lester, Major James R. Crowe, John D. Kennedy, Calvin Jones, Richard R. Reed, and Frank O. McCord. They reported themselves with the movie "Birth of a Nation". Among the participants of the organization, the high number of members of the secret society "Knights of the Golden Circle", which was established before the civil war, is noteworthy. The Ku Klux Klan organization was established in the US state of Tennessee on December 24, 1865, with the aim of opposing the rights, freedoms and black and white equality that blacks began to gain after the American Civil War.
