'Positive trend in Turkey-EU relations benefits all'
Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Isik said Bulgaria supports Turkey's full EU membership

Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Isik on Thursday stated Bulgaria, as the term President of the European Union, supports Turkey's full membership to the EU goal.
Isik speaking at Bulgaria's Ankara Embassy on the occasion of the country's national holiday said: "We believe that positive trend in Turkey, EU relations benefits all parties."
He also underlined that there is potential in further cooperation bilateral relations in the fields of politics, economy and culture.
Bulgaria's Ankara envoy Nadezhda Neynsky also at the event, asserted the importance of Turkey and said: "Turkey is Bulgaria's neighbor, a NATO ally and an important partner in the areas of vital importance. Turkey is a candidate country and a key partner of the European Union on migration issues, counter-terrorism, energy, economy and trade, to name a few."
"Among the main goals of the [EU] Presidency with respect to the EU-Turkey relations, is to keep every possible channel for direct communication open," she added.
