Explosion in Stockholm injures 2

At least two people were injured in an explosion at a metro station in a southern district of the Swedish capital Stockholm on Sunday.

Fire department spokesman Lars-Ake Stevelind said the blast occurred at 11.07. am local time (1007GMT) at the Varby Gard metro station.

He added an improvised explosive device may have been detonated, injuring two men aged 45 and 60, who were rushed to the hospital.

An investigation has been launched into the incident which is thought to be a likely terror act.
