Black panther Eusebio
Eusebio da Silva Ferreira is a former Portuguese footballer of Mozambique descent who plays as a forward.
He played an important role in the Portuguese National Football Team's 3rd place in the 1966 FIFA World Cup and became the top scorer in this tournament. In 1965, he became the footballer of the year in Europe. Eusebio, who played for Benfica for 16 seasons, is the club's top goal scorer in its history. Between 1961-1973, he wore the Portuguese national uniform 64 times and scored 41 goals in these matches. His nickname is "Black Panther". Eusebio is particularly famous for his speed and powerful and accurate shooting. He is considered to be the most successful and recognized top footballer in Benfica and Portuguese football. In a survey conducted by IFFHS, he was named the 9th best footballer of the 20th century. On the Pele side, he was included in the list of 125 best living football players (FIFA 100) prepared for FIFA in 2004. In the organization organized by UEFA in November 2003, the Portuguese Football Federation has chosen Eusebio as the best player of the last 50 years. Eusebio, the legendary football player of Portugal, who has achieved many successes, passed away at the age of 71 on January 5, 2014.
