Azerbaijani president receives Turkish, Iranian FMs
Ilham Aliyev separately met Mevlut Cavusoglu, Javad Zarif in Baku
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev separately received on Thursday Turkish and Iranian foreign ministers in Baku.
According to a presidential statement, the meeting came before a fifth trilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran.
Aliyev stressed the significance of the fact these meetings had become regular and said they were a good initiative, according to the statement.
Hosting the meeting in Baku, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov also separately met his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu and Iran's Javad Zarif before the trilateral meeting.
"We were received by President Ilham Alivey prior to the 5th #Turkey-Azerbaijan-#Iran trilateral Foreign Ministers meeting where we discussed the excellent level of Azerbaijani-Turkish solidarity," Cavusoglu wrote on his Twitter account.
