6-magnitude earthquake rattles western Iran
Earthquake comes one month after 7.3-quake struck same region, leaving more than 400 people dead

An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale shook Iran’s western border region on Monday, according to local media reports.
Iran’s official IRNA news agency reported that the quake was most strongly felt in the Ozgoleh region of the western Kermanshah province.
The quake was also reportedly felt by residents of Iran’s Kurdistan and Western Azerbaijan provinces.
Monday’s earthquake comes roughly one month after an earlier quake -- measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale -- hit the same region, leaving more than 400 people dead and thousands more injured.
On Sunday, Iran’s official earthquake monitoring center in Kermanshah reported that the province had felt more than 45 4-magnitude aftershocks since last month’s destructive earthquake.
