4 Daesh/ISIS suspects arrested in southern Turkey
Hunt for 3 more terror suspects underway
Four people with suspected links to the Daesh/ISIS terror group were arrested in Turkey’s southern Adana province, security sources said Monday.
Police special forces and anti-terror teams conducted operations as part of efforts to prevent the terror group’s possible retaliatory attacks amid the country’s widespread successful campaign against Daesh/ISIS. Some digital materials were also seized in the operations.
Hunt for three more fugitive Daesh/ISIS terror suspects is underway.
In 2013, Turkey became one of the first countries to declare Daesh/ISIS a terror group.
The country has since been attacked by Daesh/ISIS terrorists multiple times, with 315 people killed and hundreds more injured in at least 10 suicide bombings, seven bomb attacks, and four armed assaults.
In response, Turkey launched anti-terror operations at home and abroad to prevent further attacks.
