2 wanted terrorists among those neutralized in Turkey
Mazlum Mat, Busra Kaya targeted in Siirt, Tunceli provinces: Interior Ministry
Two wanted terrorists were among those "neutralized" in separate anti-terror operations in Turkey, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.
Mazlum Mat, codenamed Kendal Cizir, was among five terrorists neutralized in the area of Mount Herekol, Pervari district in southeastern Siirt province on Sept. 19, the ministry said in a statement.
The so-called senior member of a terror group was on the orange category of the ministry’s wanted list, the statement added.
Another terrorist Busra Kaya, codenamed Ardil Poyraz, was neutralized on May 7 in the eastern Tunceli province, it said. She was on the grey category of the list.
Turkey’s wanted list is divided into five color-coded categories, with red as the most wanted, followed by blue, green, orange and gray.
Turkish authorities often use the word neutralized in their statements to imply that the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.
